All dressed up: Mummers Parade celebrates Halloween season

Crowds came out Saturday as children collected candy and people of all ages marveled at costumes, floats, marching bands and other attractions in South Williamsport’s Mummers Parade. After the parade, food, festivities and fireworks marked the occasion of the 75th year for the parade, a staple of Octobers in South Williamsport.
"We will have all of the old favorites that people love: the high school bands, The Swinging Sagging Seniors are coming out of retirement for one last parade," co-organizer Dori Rankinen told the Sun-Gazette days before the parade. "We also found some circus performers that will be doing some things throughout the parade. They will be coming down, and they'll be doing a fire juggling act.”
