Federal Judge Reggie Walton on Thursday sentenced Tammy Bronsburg, of Williamsport, to 14 days in prison, to be followed by two years or probation, according to PennLive.com.

Bronsburg participated in the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol building. She pleaded guilty in June of 2022 to demonstrating or parading in a restricted building.

Prosecutors had sought a 30-day

prison sentence and three years of probation. The judge noted leniency in three previous convictions against Bronsburg -- for DUI decades ago, for possession of drug paraphernalia in 2017 and for disorderly conduct in 2020 -- played a factor in his decision, PennLive said.

One of the conditions of her probation will be to abstain from alcohol. Walton noted that she had consumed whiskey at the scene of the riot, sharing images of such on social media and vowing to drink whiskey every Jan. 6 in tribute.
