Allegheny Grange #1843 is a community-minded organization, with a membership of 18 subordinate members and four junior members.
The Grange centers on the mission of helping the less fortunate people in the community.
Service projects include food baskets for less fortunate families for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, as well as a small Christmas gift for each child. All of the food baskets are filled with food provided by Grange members.
Members also pick up litter on roadways, drive people to appointments, visit nursing homes, cook meals for the sick, cut firewood for the elderly, help clean properties after storm damage.
The Grange provides a polling place for both the primary and general elections each year as well as community group meetings, and rentals for weddings.
