HomeMade Days returns to Brandon Park this weekend

Each June, Brandon Park becomes a haven for arts and crafts and music lovers.
It's called HomeMade Days in Brandon Park and there is a purpose: To expose and educate both students and individuals of the region to art in all forms, as well as provide an event for artisans to display and sell their wares to a regional base of art lovers!
Recently, Sean Walker, director of the Williamsport Recreation Department, said he wanted to add more special events and recreational programs for residents and for those visiting from the greater Williamsport and area.
The director says the department wants HomeMade Days to evolve and grow as a show, but stay true to its mission and original concept of all things handcrafted or "homemade."
The annual arts and crafts show, Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., held in the shade of the trees always attracts a huge crowd.
Typically, it draws up to 10,000 visitors in recent years during the two-day event each June.
Anyone attending can see hand-crafted items at this family friendly event.
All ages will enjoy the musical entertainment and a large variety of food vendors.
Keeping the artisans in mind, the department said it will aim to make the set-up and tear-down as stress-free as possible, with plenty of parking nearby.
