The interim treasurer for Old Lycoming Township has given her two week’s notice, according to township personnel who received the document.
Krista Strunk joined several other employees and two supervisors who resigned or retired in recent weeks.
Strunk was serving to fill the interim treasurer position for Alex Kennedy, who also resigned. Before serving as interim treasurer for the township, Strunk worked in the township sewer office in the billing department.
Her resignation follows resignations by Linda Mazzullo and David Kay, leaving David Shirn as the lone supervisor. The township remains without a manager after Matthew Aikey, who was manager since 2020, resigned earlier this month.
One of the vacancies in the sewer department was a planned retirement.
At least a dozen employees have either resigned, are prepared to or have retired from positions in the township, which is about 40 square miles in size and serves about 5,000 residents.
