What started as a joke has now become a reality for Juan Zeyas.
Zeyas recently took over ownership of Vinnie's Italian Eatery located on 44 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.
Zeyas would come into the restaurant to eat and joke about one day buying the place.
"About a year ago, Vinnie said he was ready to retire," Zeyas said. "Then talk began to become serious."
Prior to taking ownership of Vinnie's Italian Eatery, Zeyas was an executive chef at the Williamsport Country Club. His new ownership allows him more time with his family, which he appreciates greatly.
Zeyas said he owes a lot of credit to his wife, Andrea, as she supported him throughout the entire process.
"I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel here." Zeyas said. "The foundation will remain the same, just be enhanced with my own things."
Zeyas plans on improving quality at the restaurant as well as implementing new technology to improve the flow of things.
"Everything is made with love," Zeyas said. "The hard work is being put in."
Zeyas plans to have Friday Specials each week posted to the restaurant's facebook page. Delivery is also available from the restaurant.
