The man shot to death in the lobby of the Cable Services Company at 2113 Marydale Ave. in Old Lycoming Township on Thursday morning has been identified as 69-year-old John Roskowski, a resident of Loyalsock Township, Lycoming County Coroner Charles E. Kiessling Jr. said late Friday afternoon upon returning from Allentown, where an autopsy on the man's body was performed.
Roskowski died of a gunshot wound, and the death has been ruled a homicide, Kiessling said.
Investigators said Roskowski, a former partner of Cable Services, was shot just inside the front door by a company executive about 10:45 a m., Lycoming Regional police said. Investigators confirmed Friday that the executive and Roskowski are members of the same family.
Roskowski was rushed to UPMC Williamsport, where he was pronounced dead on arrival, Kiessling said.
The executive, whose name has not been released, was taken from the scene, questioned at police headquarters and then released.
No charges have been filed. Police said the Lycoming County District Attorney's Office will decide what, if any, charges are filed in this case.
