MUNCY -- A Hughesville motorcyclist and his borough passenger suffered suspected serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash on John Brady Drive shortly after 5 p.m. Friday, state police said.
Montana M. Dunkleberger, 34, and his passenger, Melissa A. Long, 44, were not wearing helmets, and investigation indicates Montana was potentially not driving at a safe speed on the road, PSP Logan Womelsdorf said.
It was 5:12 p.m. as Dunkleberger was driving on a 2003 Harley Davidson with Long and they were going west in the right lane.
A 2015 Ford Fusion, driven by Melissa A. Poust, 52, of Muncy, was traveling north and attempted to leave the Keystone Bingo Supply parking lot by turning left.
The motorcycle struck the car near the front left driver's side fender, causing disabling damage to both.
Dunkleberger and Long were taken to UPMC Williamsport to undergo further medical evaluation. Poust suffered minor injuries.
The state Department of Transportation was notified and the road was closed for three hours and reopened by 8:44 p.m.
Vehicles were towed by Woods Garage.
Muncy Area Fire Co. assisted at the scene.
