This Friday, it's all about the kids.
Lycoming Arts will be holding their First Friday event downtown on West Fourth and Pine Streets from Market to Hepburn streets in Williamsport from 5 to 9 p.m according to Beth Armanda, Lycoming Arts vice president. The event is dedicated to local kids.
There will be live music from Lynn & Farley 5, Better Than Nothing and The Vandals on the Community Arts Stage and on Williams Street by the Genetti Hotel from 6 to 8 p.m. Free parking will be available in city lots and meters beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday. First Friday is a free event offered to all community members.
The WLAC dba/Lycoming Arts Council will be celebrating their 63rd birthday this First Friday. The Kiwanis will be holding a Kids Carnival located in the Mural Canyon off of Fourth Street near Bullfrog Brewery, according to the news release.
Families can also expect to see Tom Woodruff Jr. with his 1966 replica Batmobile which, along with Chris Ring and his Batmobile and Bat Family Comics. They will be located at Lamar Park at the corner of West Fourth and Market streets.
There will be 118 vendors as well as eight food trucks and activities provided by organizations from the area according to the information release. Lycoming Arts is currently raffling off a piece by Rick Mahonsky. Tickets can be bought from any BOD member, venmo, @Lycoming-Arts, or in the office located at 46 W. Fourth St. The drawing for the raffle will take place at First Friday.
