The fourth group of bridges in Lycoming County's bridge bundling program is underway and expected to be completed later this year, according to a news release.
The first of three bridges to be repaired is located on Old Cement Road in Fairfield Township, south of Lycoming Mall Drive.
Construction has also begun on the second bridge on Upper Bodines Road in Lewis Township, the release said. The third is located on Gap Road in Washington Township, which will require a full replacement, according to the news release.
The bridges have been designed by Bassett Engineering. Construction on the fourth bundle will be completed by Kevin E. Racker Construction, of Sunbury.
The program is funded through a $7 million dollar Pennsylvania Infrastructure Bank Loan, to be paid off through a $5 vehicle registration fee, the release said.
This three-bridge bundle contains the last of the 17 bridges slated for repairs or replacement through the program.
