Four change orders related to facility improvement projects at the high school/middle school campus were approved by the Loyalsock Township School Board at their recent meeting.
One change order pertaining to duct cleaning for the first floor of the cafe and the second floor of gym resulted in a credit of $3,261. The remaining three were charges totaling $11,716.
The district still has $250,000 in allowances available to cover any upcoming change orders, according to M. Daniel Egly, business manager and board secretary.
The board approved a consolidated cooperative sports agreement with St. John Neumann Regional Academy and the district for the 2023-24 school year to continue to provide athletic opportunities for students enrolled at St. John Neumann.
The agreement, it was noted, consolidates all the sports from previous years and adds golf.
In order for students to participate in district sports, they must maintain the district's academic standards, it was noted.
Under personnel, the board approved the following fall athletic staff:

Three support staff were approved, pending documentation. They are:
Gina Kriger, full-time Title I paraprofessional, $14; and Brieanna Robertson and Breya Heaps, part-time paraprofessionals, $14 each.
After 28 years in the administration -- 14 as high school principal and 14 as assistant principal -- the board accepted the resignation for retirement of Matthew Reitz, effective Friday. They also accepted the resignation of Sarah Collins, paraprofessional.
Other actions taken by the board included: approving a letter of agreement for school based outreach services between the district and the Lycoming-Clinton Joinder Board to provide two outreach personnel; and a letter of agreement between the Joinder Board and the district for student assistance program services.
Egly was appointed to the position of business manager for a five-year term.
The next board meeting will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 4 at the secondary campus multi-purpose room, 2101 Loyalsock Drive.
