Region lives united in music at Community Arts Center

By Ralph Wilson 2 min read

The guest list read like a who's who of the Williamsport music scene as local talent entertained hundreds of fans at "LIVE UNITED in Music III", a fundraising event for the Lycoming County United Way, on Thursday at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport. The evening got underway with Kopper and Kash performing the National Anthem followed by special guest performances by Mike Caschera, Loni Gamble, Dave Brumbaugh and a clarinet solo by Miss Pennsylvania, Miranda Moore. Headlining the event were three familiar names of younger talent who have gone on to reach national acclaim. Brennan "Beane" Hepler, Dylan Rockoff and Morgan Miles all hail from the Williamsport area and have earned bragging rights for their accomplishments outside the community. Their individual talents have taken them to the stages at Madison Square Garden, the Grand Ole Opry and others.

Included in the evening's festivities was the presentation of the United Way's Lifetime Achievement Award to Dave Brumbaugh, Executive Director of the Uptown Music Collective, for the education and inspiration he provides to upcoming musicians.

Proceeds from the night will benefit 36 programs in Lycoming, Sullivan and Tioga Counties according to Ron Frick, president of the Lycoming County United Way.
