State police seek help finding missing Tioga County woman

1 min read

State police have renewed their search for 85-year-old Phyllis Potter, who went missing earlier this summer.

Potter was last seen around 5 a.m. on July 21, after leaving the home of a friend in the Westfield area, according to state Trooper Jacob Shedden.

She was last known to be driving a white 2009 Subaru Outback, and has no known medical issues that could have contributed to her disappearance, Trooper Shedden said.

State police are asking for the public to be vigilant in looking for Potter, as well as her vehicle, including hunters, due to the rural nature of the area.

Communitywide volunteer land and water searches of Tioga County and nearby hospitals have been ongoing, but have not revealed any clues as to Potter's whereabouts, according to a state police press release.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Pennsylvania State Police Mansfield barracks at 570-662-2151 or anonymously contact the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-4PA-TIPS (8477) or online at www.p3tips.com/tipform.aspx?ID=107.
