The motorcyclist killed Monday night at the West Fourth Street entrance to the Route 15 South on-ramp in the city has been identified as Maddyx Vollmer, 21, of Williamsport, according to Lycoming County Coroner Charles E. Kiessling Jr.
Vollmer, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was traveling east on Fourth Street about 6:10 p.m. when his motorcycle and a pickup truck that was heading west and turning left onto the ramp collided, city police said.
No information has been released about the identity of the driver of the truck as the investigation was ongoing. It was unknown if the driver suffered any injuries in the crash.
Kiessling said Vollmer died of multiple blunt-force traumatic injuries.
