Solving double homicides ‘a top priority’ for Lycoming County DA

Four weeks after Alisha Seese and Ronald Dailey Jr. were found shot to death in the 1700 block of Terrace Place in the city, no arrest has been made, but at least half a dozen investigators are working full-time on trying to solve the shootings, Lycoming County District Attorney Thomas Marino said Wednesday.
"We are going to do our job," Marino said, adding that solving the case is "a top priority" for him.
"This double homicide has been and is currently under investigation by several agencies. Evidence is meticulously being scrutinized by leading experts, using the latest scientific methods. People continue to be interviewed. With that said, no further explanation will be made until arrests are executed," Marino read from a prepared statement.
Seese, of Williamsport, and Dailey, of Jersey Shore, both 37, were found slain in a car during the early-morning hours of Jan. 12 on Terrace Place, not far from Lycoming Engines, where the two were employed as contracted security officers.
Seese had filed a protection-from-abuse order against Troy Bailey, 57, of the 1200 block of High Street, in early December, and Bailey allegedly violated that order days before Seese and Dailey were murdered, according to investigators.
Shortly after the shootings, Bailey was taken into custody and jailed in contempt of court for allegedly violating the protection order. However, with Seese dead, prosecutors dropped the contempt violation. Still, Bailey remains incarcerated on another criminal matter, but all public documents concerning this issue are sealed, and Marino said Wednesday they will remain sealed until arrests are made.
When asked about the progress investigators were making, Marino replied "I don't want to get into that. I want to just keep with my prepared statement. When the time comes, we'll certainly have a press conference."
While declining to answer questions, Marino said, "I believe it is critical at this point to keep them (the public documents) sealed."
