U.S. Rep. Dan Meuser, R-Dallas, will face Democratic nominee Amanda Waldman while U.S. Rep. Glenn Thompson, R-Howard, will face Democratic nominee Zach Womer. The four candidates were unopposed in their pursuit of the four nominations.
State Sen. Gene Yaw, R-Loyalsock Township, state Rep. Jamie Flick, R-South Williamsport and state Rep. Joe Hamm, R-Hepburn Township, were all running for Republican nominations to seek reelection unopposed.
The Democratic races for nominations for the state Senate seat and two state House seats did not attract formal candidacies. Whether any write-in candidates secured enough votes for those Democratic nominations will likely take weeks to determine.
