Bailey faces new charges after son denies allowing him to use his SSN

Troy Bailey Sr. was arraigned on fresh charges in association with his alleged usage of his son's social security number to secure employment and public benefits before District Judge Christian Frey Wednesday morning.
City police filed 12 counts each of forgery and identity theft against Bailey, 57.
Following a March preliminary hearing on the associated charges, Frey bound over three counts each of theft by deception and making false statements, however six counts of forgery and three counts of identity theft were dismissed by the judge in a written decision on March 1.
"The Commonwealth presented no evidence that the defendant altered any writings of another person," Frey found in dismissing the forgery charges, adding that the prosecution failed to enter any evidence as to whether Bailey Jr. had given his father the consent to use his information.
Following that ruling, city police agent Brittany Alexander conducted a phone interview with Troy Bailey Jr., 31, currently incarcerated at SCI-Dallas.
He has been serving a 25 to 50 year prison sentence since 2019 for the murder of Philadelphia trans-rights activist Michelle "Tameka" Washington.
He "never permitted his father, Troy Bailey Sr., to use his social security number under any circumstance," Bailey told Alexander, according to court documents.
"Additionally, he said that he never permitted Troy Bailey Sr. to sign his name on any documents, including those to gain employment," the agent wrote in the affidavit.
Seese and Dailey, both 37, along with Bailey, were employed as security guards at Lycoming Engines, 652 Oliver St., through Security Alliance, a subcontractor providing security and fire services to the business.
Authorities were informed of the alleged offenses shortly after Alisha Seese and Ronald Dailey Jr. were found shot to death on Jan. 12.
"They told me that Troy Bailey Sr. had been using his son, Troy Bailey Jr.'s social security number to gain employment with both Lycoming Engines and Faxon Car Wash," Alexander said in the affidavit.
"They also told me that his ex-girlfriend, Alisha Seese, had exposed this to Lycoming Engines and he had since been suspended," the affidavit continued..
Utilizing the state's Labor & Industry Employment data system, Alexander was able to confirm that Bailey Sr.'s last date of employment was in 2021, while Bailey Jr.'s social security was linked to employment with both Security Alliance and LG Car Wash LLC, otherwise known as the Faxon Car Wash, according to court documents.
A January search warrant on Security Alliance revealed that, using his son's security number, Bailey Sr. was hired on May 15, 2023, receiving a total of $18,929.25.
Documentation from the Liberty Group also confirmed that Bailey had used his son's social security card to gain employment with the security firm and the carwash, as well as the Hampton Inn, the affidavit said.
In total, working under his son's social security information from 2021 to 2024, Bailey made approximately $29,027.01, court documents revealed.
Frey set Bailey's bail in the amount of $50,000 for the new charges, though he remains locked up, charged as the main shooter in the killings Seese and Dailey.
No trial date has been set for any of the cases before Bailey.
