April Line, Democrat, a dedicated resident of Williamsport and business woman, is seeking the party’s nomination for Williamsport City Council in the May 20 primary election.

Line said she is proud to announce her candidacy.

With a strong commitment to cooperation and collaboration between city government and city staff, April aims to bring an engaged presence and creative, people-first leadership to the city.

“I’m running for City Council because I believe in an inclusive, thriving, and economically sustainable future for our city,” Line said. “When I am elected, I will hold weekly office hours in accessible, public places so that residents of Williamsport can come talk to me about their needs, wants, and opinions. I will welcome other members of council to join me in this initiative.”

April has been actively involved in small business as a consultant, manager, and executive, and recently in collaborating with her community to form mutual aid alliances.

Her platform focuses on supporting small businesses, representing all of Williamsport’s residents, and creative legislation to reach a balanced, sustainable budget.

As part of her campaign, April will be hosting and attending community events, meeting with residents and city departments, and sharing her vision for Williamsport’s future.

The campaign welcomes volunteers and supporters who want to help make a difference. Line says, “‘April Listens’ isn’t just a slogan, it’s a promise.”
