Nearly 100 jobs expected to open up at West Pharmaceutical Services’ Williamsport location
West Pharmaceutical Services Inc. recently announced it will hire nearly 100 people for new positions at its site in Williamsport. Hiring has started and will continue through early 2026.
West currently employs over 580 people across two locations in the Lycoming County area, with another manufacturing location in Jersey Shore, according to a news release.
“West is proud of its team members and the role we play in contributing to patient health around the world,” said Dave Lanzer, Williamsport site director, according to the news release. “We have been an integral part of Williamsport for over 40 years and look forward to our continued growth and support of this community.”
“West’s Williamsport site has 24/7 operations and plays a critical role in global health care with injection and blow molding, assembly, and commercial manufacturing operations that provide solutions for more patient-centric drug-delivery needs,” the news release said. “West’s recent capacity expansion at this site will add full time career opportunities, including production operators, supervisors, engineers, maintenance technicians, tooling specialists, and a variety of office positions.”
“Our growth in Williamsport is another example of West’s continued commitment to our customers and partnering with them for device and drug delivery services, ultimately helping them to achieve their mission of advancing and delivering injectable treatments to patients,” Tom Clarke, vice president of contract manufacturing operations for West, said, according to the news release.
West’s contract manufacturing business is focused on servicing the needs of healthcare companies by helping to develop and commercialize medical devices, drug delivery systems, and combination products with a single-source solution from product conceptualization through manufacturing and final packaging.
