The Lycoming County Resource Management Services Transfer Station, 1475 W. Third St., Williamsport will no longer accept roll-off containers or hook-lift trucks, effective June 1.

According to a news release, packer trucks will still be accepted at the transfer station, but roll-off containers and hook-lift trucks must be taken to the LCRMS landfill at 447 Alexander Drive, Montgomery for disposal.

This change is necessary to address the challenges posed by the volume of waste brought in by these types of trucks, impacting the Transfer Station’s facility and equipment, the news release said.

The landfill’s operating hours are Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. and Saturday from 7 to 11:45 a.m. For further details and the fee schedule, visit the LCRMS website at www.lcrms.com.
