‘Picnic in the Park’ introduces community to possible mental health, early childhood development, veteran and other resources
The green sidewalk at Park Home was lined with over 60 local agencies that helped with mental health and community resources in general talk with visitors to the “Picnic in the Park” at Park Home in Williamsport.
The first annual event was organized by Justin McKinney of the Center for Community Resources to help people in need get in contact with organizations to provide counseling, early childhood development, veteran assistance and many other services.
Jocelyn Duffy-Pease of Williamsport was passing by on W. Fourth Street and saw the event and took her 11 year old son Deucalion and 3 year old daughter Astraea through to see what services were offered and was pleasantly surprised at the number of information she received from the vendors.
