The YWCA Northcentral PA is currently accepting nominations for their 17th Annual Women of Excellence. Since 2009, the YWCA Northcentral PA has honored Women of Excellence, recognizing women and young ladies who exemplify civic responsibility and enhance their communities.

Categories for nominations include: Advocacy; Art & Culture; Education; Health & Wellness; Sports; STEM; and Rising Star.

An award ceremony is scheduled for Nov. 12 at the Community Arts Center in Williamsport.This event not only celebrates outstanding leaders but also serves as a fundraising occasion for the YWCA, showcasing the accomplishments of community trailblazers, according to a statement from the YWCA.

“With nominations open to the public, the YWCA encourages you to share stories of individuals in our community who are making a positive impact. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate these remarkable trailblazers,” said Beth McClain, director of development.

All nominees are invited to an Honoree Reception preceding the Award Ceremony.

The YWCA is also seeking sponsors for the event.
