Police searching for man wanted for attempted homicide

While pursuing his ex in his pickup truck on Route 220 on Thursday afternoon, the driver first rammed her SUV and then fired one shot in her direction from inside his truck, state police confirmed.
No one was injured in the shooting that occurred near Queneshaque Road about 3:30 p.m.
An arrest warrant has been issued for the alleged driver, Adam Taylor, 47, of South Williamsport, who has been charged with several offenses, including attempted homicide, police said.
A news release stated the shooting happened in the southbound lanes of Route 220. After the shooting, the woman’s SUV crashed, landing in the northbound passing lane, just north of Pine Run Road.
“After ramming her vehicle, the man retrieved a rifle and fired one round through his windshield,” the release, issued about 7:30,p.m.
The man then drove a short distance before abandoning his truck and stealing a red Dodge pickup that had a Pennsylvania license plate FM7491C, police said. It was last seen in the 200 block of Allegheny Street in Jersey Shore about 5 p.m., Thursday, police said.
Taylor was last seen wearing work boots, blue jeans, brown hooded sweatshirt, and a brown/black trucker style hat, according to a state police press release.
“If the vehicle is seen, contact 911 immediately. The driver is believed to be armed with a rifle,” police said. He is white with facial hair, ” police added.
The Jersey Shore Area School District held a remote instruction day with all school and district buildings closed, due to an “ongoing security incident,” the school district’s social media said.
