Hamm, Flick assist in funding area fire and EMS companies

More than 40 fire and emergency medical services (EMS) companies in the 84th District were collectively awarded nearly $600,000 in grant funding through the Pennsylvania Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program, state Rep. Joe Hamm (R-Lycoming/Sullivan) said.

Meanwhile, the state allocated close to $215,000 to support fire companies and EMS providers in the 83rd District through efforts by state Rep. Jamie Flick, R-South Williamsport.

“Our communities are fortunate to have so many dedicated firefighters and emergency medical services personnel working to protect us and our loved ones,” Hamm said. “This funding provides vital support to our brave first responders as they continue their critically important and often dangerous jobs.”

“I’m grateful to see these fire and EMS providers receive this funding because they keep our communities safe and save lives,” Flick said. “This funding is critical and helps to provide essential needs to keep operations running and ensure they can respond when emergencies happen. I will continue to look for ways to secure additional resources to ensure our first responders have the tools they need to keep us safe.”
