City of Williamsport OKs contract for interim consulting
The City of Williamsport has hired a familiar face for its financial consulting needs, a leader in her field at a new firm in metropolitan Allegheny County on an as-needed basis for an about $145 per hour.
City Council recently authorized a professional services agreement between the city and Dailey Operation Consulting LLC of Tarentum to provide interim financial consulting services.
Dailey’s point of contact, Tracey Rash, a government finance specialist, helped the city out with its budget and finances in the years during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and recently submitted a proposal to provide similar service.
The city may require professional financial consulting and interim financial management support services from time to time, according to the agreement.
The company specializes in consulting services, municipal support services, and capital project planning for municipalities.
Rash has been partnering in local government for over 30 years and has worked with many boards and councils, as well as their staff, to make lasting changes.
As needed, meetings will be held with Mayor Derek Slaughter, or his designee, to discuss duties for the following weeks and an estimated number of hours to perform such duties, according to the proposal.
Daily Operation Consulting said it will bill the city on a monthly basis as the services are provided.
