Muncy Township supervisor addresses Sun-Gazette editorial
Muncy Township Supervisor Terri Lauchle offered further comment on recent supervisor meetings and on the editorial on the Sun-Gazette’s Wednesday opinion-editorial page in an email Wednesday.
“I am writing to clarify a few points from recent reporting and commentary about Muncy Township,” the email reads. “During a recent administrative transition, the board discussed allowing limited, as-needed legal consultation for guidance only. No contract was signed, no permanent solicitor was appointed, and no existing representation was formally ended. These steps were taken carefully so that future decisions could be made in a responsible and informed way, consistent with township procedures.”
“I also want to clarify a statement attributed to me regarding a prior article,” the email continues. “During the meeting, I did address the article, questioned its accuracy, and asked whether input had been sought before it was published. The full exchange is part of the public meeting record.
“It is important to me that residents receive clear and complete information about what is actually happening in the township,” she said.
