Williamsport law firm remains ‘unsure’ if it is Muncy Township’s solicitor

A Williamsport law firm remains uncertain as to whether it will continue to provide legal service to the Muncy Township Board of Supervisors.

The township board is focused on multi-million dollar commercial developments at the former Lycoming Mall (The District) as well as Lycoming Crossings and township businesses.

Zachary DuGan, an attorney who served as associate solicitor for the township, said his firm placed a request to the township officials requesting confirmation whether Perciballi and Williams was retained and would continue to serve as solicitor but has not heard back.

“For our purposes we remain unsure whether or not the supervisors would like us to attend the meeting,” DuGan said. It is not uncommon for municipal leaders or township boards of supervisors to not wish a solicitor to be present for every meeting, he noted.

“Previously we’d attend every meeting,” he said.

“We hope to be in attendance and maybe answer questions and set the record straight on a couple of things but that is to be determined,” DuGan said, but he added “unless and until” such notification and invite there is no clear answer.

Starting at $2.99/week.
