The inaugural Arbor Day festivities at Waldron Park in Muncy on Saturday included a tree planting in honor Muncy art teacher Nella Storm along with a demonstration of proper pruning techniques, vendors and activities for children. Plans to have the event become an annual affair is a collaboration between Downtown Muncy Inc and the Muncy Shade Tree Commission.
