It's the height of summer and the asphalt and paving crews are on streets in the City of Williamsport, getting the work done before the Little League World Series and students and staff return to schools and colleges.
Contractor M & J Excavation began paving and will continue for the next two weeks or so, according to city Department of Public Works.
All streets will be milled first and then the crews will come back and re-pave.
Street to be done include:
• Center Street from High Street to Memorial Avenue.
• Memorial Avenue, from Walnut Street to Center Street.
• Elmira Street, from Park Avenue to Kramer Court.
• West Third Street, from Arch Street to Poplar Street.
• Poplar Street, from West Third Street to Federal Avenue.
• West Fourth Street, from Hepburn Street to Mulberry Street.
Please be advised and look for the street road signs and any detours.
