After months of delays from the Muncy Township Board of Supervisors, work at the site of the proposed Bass Pro Shops at the former Best Buy location seems to be moving forward as the Lycoming Water and Sewer Authority (LCWSA) board this week approved a developers agreement with FAMvest XXII Lycoming Mall LLC for the reconstruction of water and sewer mains required for the project.
FAMvest is the developer of the site which is located adjacent to the former Lycoming Mall, now known as The District.
According to Christine Weigle, LCWSA executive director, the estimated public water and sewer facilities to be constructed and dedicated and easements/Right of Ways (ROW's) to be provided are as follows: construction of approximately 264 lineal feet of SDR (Standard Dimension Ration) 35 PVC 8" diameter sewer main and 1 manhole; construction of approximately 515 lineal feet of 8" diameter C-900 PVC watermain, one fire hydrant assembly, and three valves; and easements of 30 foot width for the water and sewer facilities.
In other actions, the board approved a pay application of $242,344 to Harger Utility Contractors for the Limestone Water Project on Schoolhouse Road. The project was reported to be on schedule and within budget.
Under personnel, the board also approved hiring Ian Hufnagel as an Environmental Resource Technician for the Authority.
The next meeting of the board will be at 6 p.m., Sept. 2 at the Authority's office, 380 Old Cement Road, Montoursville.
