SBA offering economic injury disaster loans

The US Small Business Administration (SBA) has announced that low-interest federal disaster loans will be available for eligible small businesses and private non-profits which have been impacted by excessive rain and moisture that occurred from April 1 through June 1, 2025.

The application deadline for the economic injury disaster loans is Feb. 25, 2027

Small businesses, private nonprofits, faith-based organizations, small agricultural cooperatives and small aquaculture enterprises in the following counties are eligible to apply; Bradford, Lycoming Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga and Wyoming.

Loan assistance available includes: economic injury disaster loans and working capital assistance for operational expenses caused by the disaster.

Up to $2 million in loan funding is available with interest rates as low as 4 percent for small businesses and 3.625 percent for private nonprofit organizations. Loan terms are up to 30 years with no interest or required payments during the first 12 months following disbursement.
