Loyalsock Township supervisors discussed the summer and upcoming holidays at its most recent meeting.
The board unanimously voted to schedule Trick-or-Treating on Oct. 31, which will be a Saturday this year. Present supervisors were Michael Reed, Virginia Eaton, vice chairman John Bower Jr. and Richard Trowbridge.
Shannon Lukowsky, Recreation and Parks director, is looking for businesses, individuals and clubs willing to walk in this year's holiday parade, which will take place on Dec. 5. Anyone interested in participating can contact her to register.
The Recreation and Parks department is working with the fire department to plan the holiday program and donation letters have already been sent, she said.
Lukowsky said the pool is closed for the season, but this year's programs were very successful.
"A lot of community pools are closing and struggling," Reed said. "You're paying enough attention to be fiscally responsible that it'll be a resource for years to come."
With the summer program over, others are getting started. Lukowsky said registrations for the walking program, kids basketball program and gym rentals are starting to pick up.
The bandshell is scheduled to be delivered this month. It is coming as a kit and will be stored on site, she said.
The board will meet again at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 22.
