Loyalsock Township school board passes lean agenda

The Loyalsock Township school board approved all voting items on a lean agenda at their recent September meeting.

In staffing, the board approved Colleen Howell as a full-time secretary at the high school at an hourly rate of $16.40, effective Sept. 8; Meghan Danley as a full-time paraprofessional at an hourly rate of $17.85, effective Aug. 24; Kathryn Roberts as a full-time paraprofessional at an hourly rate of $16.10, effective date to be determined upon receipt of documentation; Robert Sanso as event staff for the 2026-27 school year; and a number of fall and winter athletic personnel with stipends ranging from $1,000 to $7,600.

The board also acknowledged the resignations of Brenna Segraves as a paraprofessional, effective June 5, and Larry Stoner as a custodian, effective Aug. 12.

The board also gave its stamp of approval to Policy No. 204.1 on virtual attendance and wellness checks, as well as several agreements, including with KCE Champions LLC to host an after-school child care program at the elementary school, at no cost to the district as well as the Lycoming-Clinton Joinder Board for school-based outreach services, student assistance program services and behavioral health choices, respectively.

The next school board meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
