By Fr 1 min read

A state lawmaker will host two gun seminars next month.

State Rep. Joe Hamm, R-Hepburn Township, said the seminars will be at Hughesville Volunteer Fire Department, 30 S. Railroad St., Hughesville: Oct. 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Old Lycoming Township Volunteer Fire Co., 1600 Dewey Ave., Williamsport: Oct. 14, from 6 to 8 p.m.

"Whether you are a long-time concealed carry license holder or are simply considering obtaining one, these gun law seminars will provide valuable information," Hamm said. "As a strong supporter of the Second Amendment, I know how important it is for our law-abiding gun owners to have a solid understanding of our Commonwealth's gun laws."

Hamm will be joined at each event by the Lycoming County District Attorney's Office, Lycoming County Sheriff's Office, state police, and the state Game Commission.

The presentation will address several topics, including the state's Castle Doctrine, license to carry permits, interacting with law enforcement while lawfully carrying a concealed weapon, and firearm-carry laws related to hunting season. There will also be time for questions.

Seating for the seminars is limited. To register, visit RepJoeHamm.com/events, call the office at 570-327-2084 or email kkoch@pahousegop.com.
