The City of Williamsport has invited the public to participate in its planning process for the citywide road safety action plan funded by a U.S. Department of Transportation Safe Streets for All planning grant.
On Monday, Oct. 26, the city and its consultants with Kittelson Associates will be having a public workshop from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Curtin Intermediate School, 85 Eldred St.
It is an open house style event so attendees can come at any point during the two hours.
"We will have stations set up with maps and materials and the opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with the team," said Scott Williams, city planner and assistant director of the city Department of Community and Economic Development.
Kittelson will share the results of their analysis of safety issues on city streets.
"We would also like to hear from the public about their experiences with road safety in the city and help us identify opportunities for the city to do improvements," Williams stressed.
"We will also have an activity table set up for children and we encourage families to attend," he said.
