Harry James ‘Jim’ O’Connor Jr.

Harry James “Jim” O’Connor Jr., passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017, at his home in Sanford, North Carolina. Born October 1, 1974, he was the son of H. James and Edith Fisher O’Connor.

Jim attended Montgomery Area High School, graduating in 1993, where he participated in wrestling, football and baseball. He was a member of the Elimsport United Methodist Church. He earned his Eagle Scout award in 1992. Jim was an avid fisherman and hunter. A 1995 graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology with an Associate Degree in HVAC, he was employed in Lycoming County and the Sanford, N.C. area.

He is survived by his mother of Wilmington, N.C.; his father of Montgomery; and his children, Khloee, Keegan and Sienna of Austin, Minn.

Jim was predeceased by his half-sister, Terri Harman.

A celebration in memory of Jim’s life will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017, 1 to 4 p.m. at the Elimsport United Methodist Church Social Hall, 16145 State Route 44, Allenwood. A light luncheon will be served. Friends and relatives are welcome to celebrate with the family and reminisce about their memories and relationship with Jim.
