He co-founded Penn Square Apartments, was executive director of Lycoming Neighborhood Development Corporation, President of Preservation Williamsport and an original member of 2010 Vision for Lycoming Co. His passion for historical preservation was unparalleled.

A collector of antique automobiles, Ted owned numerous vehicles of different makes and models, including a 1930 Pierce Arrow Presidential Limousine that will be in the procession to the Wildwood Cemetery.

Ted was a fan of Penn State Athletics, the Boston Celtics, The New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed cooking, fine dining and presiding over family sing-a-longs during the holidays. His family's history and genealogy were of the utmost importance to him.

He married the former Mindee Hadley of Indianapolis, Ind., in June of 1999, and has two sons, Edward (Eddie) Lyon and J. Henry Cochran Lyon.
