John A. Kisinger

John A. Kisinger, 53, husband of Dawn Hedges, of Jersey Shore, Pa., passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 21, 2019, at Geisinger-Jersey Shore.

Born in Williamsport, on Feb. 4, 1965, he was the son of Bonnie (Mull) Barto, of Williamport.

Dawn and John were wed on Nov. 17, 2001, and shared over 17 years of marriage together.

He was a 1984 graduate of Montoursville High School. Since 1996 he has been employed by Billtown Mechanical Company, South Williamsport, as a shop manager.

He enjoyed animals, especially cats, riding motorcycles, local history and working in his shop.

Along with his wife and mother he is survived by a daughter, Brandi Hedges, of Jersey Shore; a sister, Cindy A. Stahl (Gary W.), of Loyalsock; and two grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, Feb. 3, from noon to 2 p.m. in the social hall of Independent Hose Fire Co. No. 1, 130 Pennsylvania Ave., Jersey Shore. John’s life celebration will be held at 2 p.m., with Mr. Jeff Strosser officiating, in the fire company social hall immediately following the gathering time.

If desired, memorials may be made in John’s name to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701. Final interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family has entrusted Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, Inc. (d/b/a Cremation Society of North Central Pennsylvania) 408 S. Main St., Jersey Shore, PA, to John’s final arrangements.
