Dennis Lee Hutchinson

Dennis Lee Hutchinson, of Old Lycoming Township, passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Thursday July 11, 2019, with his children at his side.

Born on Feb. 24, 1952, in Williamsport, to Franklin Peter Hutchinson (Marion), and the late Joyce M. (Moyer) Shumbat.

Dennis loved spending time at the Loyalsock Creek with his family and riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed the simple things of life, like spending time with family and friends. He helped many people with his gift to fix anything that no one else could fix, and enjoyed many hobbies.

He spent many years as a self-employed contractor, and was employed for several years with Palmer Industrial Coating. Most recently, he was employed with Hutchinson Companies, LLC as the quality control officer.

He also was pre-deceased by a sister, Cassandra Lee Hutchinson.

Surviving are his father and his wife, his two children, Sam L. Hutchinson (Toni), of Trout Run; daughter Sonya M. Randall (Keith), of Delaware; and granddaughter, Nina Hutchinson (Max Diaz), serving in the U.S. Army in Virginia. He is also survived by brothers, George A. Hutchinson and Timothy A. Shumbat (Sylvia), both of Old Lycoming Township; along with many loving nieces, nephews and family; sister-in-law, Kathy Hutchinson; and special cousin and friend, Carlene Apker.

Dennis was a former member of Central Baptist Church.

Family and close friends will be received from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2019, with a service at 1 p.m. at Crouse Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport, with the Rev. Robert Regan officiating. Interment will be private for the family at the Wildwood Cemetery.
