Anne Hepburn Parsons, 73, of Williamsport, passed away on April 10, 2020, at The Gatehouse Hospice in Williamsport.
Anne was born in Williamsport on Sept. 19, 1946. She graduated from Williamsport Area High School and continued her education, earning a B.S. in education from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, in 1968, and a master's degree in library science in 1995, from the University of South Florida, Tampa. Anne retired from Brodart, where she worked for many years as a senior business analyst.
Anne was an active and faithful member of Christ Episcopal Church where she served on the vestry, and on the finance committee. She was an active volunteer for several organizations, including the Community Arts Center, the SPCA, and the James V. Brown Library. In addition to her volunteer activities, Anne enjoyed reading, crocheting, sewing, gardening, biking, swimming, camping, cooking and chess.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Katrine Parsons. Surviving are her sister, Barbara (John) Carson; brother, Hank (Judy) Parsons; sister, Louise (Dennis) Jones; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Christ Episcopal Church, 426 Mulberry St., Williamsport, the SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, or the James V., Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St., Williamsport. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of The Gatehouse for their loving and compassionate care of Anne during the last several weeks.
There will be a private service in Wildwood Cemetery. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
