Jeffrey R. Levan

Jeffrey R. Levan, 59, of Fairfield Township died on Feb. 23, 2021, at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport.

He was born on April 25, 1961 in Williamsport, son of the late Robert and Lois (Robinson) Levan.

Jeffrey graduated from Williamsport High School in 1979 and later graduated from Pennsylvania State University. He worked as a civil engineer in the bridge unit for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, and served 23 years as a high school basketball referee with the Lycoming Chapter of PIAA Basketball Officials. In the life he and his wife built, he enjoyed cycling, photography, puzzles, reading, the Boston Red Sox, coaching and supporting local youth sports, outdoor activities and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 31 years, the former Joanne Snyder; children. Amber L. Levan, Logan T. (Jillian) Levan, and Bethany L. Levan; three brothers, Keith (Debbie) Levan, Bruce (Janice) Levan, and Timothy LeVan; sister, Lori (Rick) Schatzl; and two grandchildren, Caden and Keira.

There will be a public walk-through viewing on Monday, 10 to 11:30 a.m., at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, PA 17754.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Monday, March 1, at Faith United Methodist Church, 700 Fairview Drive, Montoursville, PA 17754 with Rev. Joseph J. Shimko officiating.

Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery.

Following Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines, masks and social distancing will be required at both the church and the funeral home.
