Carol C. Emrick, 83, of Montoursville, passed away on Aug. 22, 2021 at her residence.
She was born on Jan. 29, 1938, in Bloomsburg, daughter of the late Roscoe and Mary (Mausteller) Crossley.
Carol retired from the Williamsport Sun-Gazette. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Montoursville and Willing Hand Hose Fire Co. Aux. She was also advisor to the Montoursville State Police Explorer Post #89 and was an original member of the board for the Montoursville Fall Festival.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew L. and son, Mark Emrick.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Lisa) Emrick, of Sunbury; two daughters, Michelle (Anthony) Benner, of Phoenixville, Pa. and Maxann (John) Daugherty, of Montoursville and eight grandchildren.
There will be a funeral service held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 30, 2021 at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville with Rev. Dr. Joseph Shimco officiating. Burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery.
A viewing for family and friends will be from 10-11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
