Kathleen A. King
Kathleen A. King, 77, of Hepburn Township, died Aug. 10, 2021 at The Gatehouse. Born July 28, 1944, in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of John and Katherine (Kilcoyne) Kmetz.
She graduated from Drexel University with her master’s degree. Kathleen worked as a CRNA for Susquehanna Regional Hospital along with the Healthcare Association of Nurse Anesthetists and John Hopkins Hospital. She was a member of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, Williamsport Garden Club, PA Association of Anesthetists, and enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur H. King Sr. and a brother, Jack Kmetz.
Surviving are two sons, Arthur H. Jr. (Parvin) King of Cogan Station and John J. (Kathleen) King of Williamsport; a brother, Thomas (Donna) Kmetz of Aiken, S.C.; sister-in-law, Norma Faulkner of Georgia; and three grandchildren, Julia and James King and Iman (Solmaz) King.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 1220 Northway Rd., Williamsport, with Rev. John J. Chmil as celebrant.
Burial with her husband will be at the convenience of the family in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hazelton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Susquehanna Health Foundation c/o Home Care and Hospice, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
