Audre L. Bergren

Audre L. Bergren, 88, most recently of State College, formerly of Winter Haven, Fla., and Williamsport, was reunited with the love of her life, Kenneth, on Feb. 8, 2022. She was born on the family farm in Montgomery, June 16, 1933, the daughter of the late Fred LaForme and Bessie Tawney Tyson. Ken and Audre were married for 65 years, until his death on May 4th, 2021.

Audre grew up in Montgomery and graduated from Montgomery Jr./Sr. High School in 1950. After graduation Audre had a number of jobs, but met Ken when they both worked at E. Keeler Company. They married on March 17, 1956. Audre was a loving, stay-at-home mom for a number of years, but then joined Ken in his lawn and garden business as the corporate secretary and treasurer until she retired.

Audre was an avid gardener and loved bringing in what she had grown to can or freeze. More than anything, Audre loved being with her family and enjoyed entertaining friends and family in the Florida sunshine. She and Ken were members of St Luke Lutheran church.

Audre is survived by her 3 children; Mark (Karen) of Williamsport, Beth Robbins (Mark) of State College, and Phillip (Carla) of Williamsport. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; Kristofer Bergren of Honeoye Falls, NY, Jessica Rodabaugh of Pittsburgh, Eric Rodabaugh of Washington, DC, and Andrew Rodabaugh of Pittsburgh.

After cremation, Audre’s ashes will be interred with Ken’s at the Florida National Cemetery for Veterans in Bushnell, Fla. Services will be at the convenience of the family.
