Cheryl Marie Hook, 56, of Montoursville, died from cancer on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at the Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital in Williamsport.
She was born March 30, 1966 in that same hospital. Cheryl was the daughter of Robert and Cecilia Orme Hook who survive.
She is also survived by her brothers, John (Jackie), Michael (Diane) and Thomas (Sherrie), nieces and nephews, Nicole (Brian), Ashley, Adam (Allison), Jessica and James, great niece and nephews, Chase, Gabriella, Nash, and Kooper, and best friends, Sara "Sally" Moser, and Michael McFadden.
Cheryl was a 1984 graduate of Loyalsock High School. She served in the U.S. Navy and retired as a plumbing trades instructor for Muncy Correctional Institution. Cheryl was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #970. She loved dogs, going to estate sales, and helping everyone with whatever they needed.
A gathering for family and friends to remember Cheryl will be held on Saturday, July 23 at 11 a.m. at The Genetti Hotel, 200 West Fourth Street, Williamsport, PA 17701.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Speranza Animal Rescue, 1216 Brandt Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.
