James L. Boyer

James L. Boyer, 72, of Benton, passed away on Tuesday Feb. 28, 2023 at his residence. He was born April 18, 1950 in Bloomsburg, a son of the late Kenneth and Martha (Woodside) Boyer.

He graduated from Hughesville High School, and worked at Valley Ag and Turf. James enjoyed riding horses, working on trucks and tractors, hunting, and going to sales.

James is survived by three children, Carmen Fruit and husband Mike, of Bloomsburg, Clint Boyer and wife, Tonya, of Benton, Alissa Kitzmiller and husband, Travis, of Kansas; five grandchildren, Molly and Levi Fruit, Chase, Blaise, and Addison Kitzmiller; companion, Tisha Robbins; and former spouse, Linda (Watts) Boyer.

James was preceded in death by his parents; as well as brother, Roger Boyer; and two sisters, Peggy Newman and Patty Newman.

A visitation will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Bunnell Funeral Home Inc, 179 E. Main St., Millville.
