Steven L. Evelhair, 64, of Montoursville, died Thursday, May 25, 2023, at his home. Born Aug. 6, 1958, in Muncy, he was a son of the late Frank Evelhair and the late Sarah (Summers) Metzger.
Steve… where to start? He was the guy everyone deserved to meet, at least once in their lifetime. He would always leave you with a smile on your face, abundant laughs, and if you ever needed anything, he was "always just a phone call away." The inseparable bond between him and his daughters carried over to his two grandkids, who knew just how much poppy loved them by the excess cookies he always had waiting.
Steve loved tinkering in the garage, mowing grass, football (San Francisco 49ers), baseball (New York Yankees), Nascar (Chase Elliott), and growing up. You could guarantee waking up on the weekend to donuts and dad "burning some ****."
Rather than a misfit, Steve was the perfect fit… the perfect fit for everyone's family.
To those who had the opportunity to know and share this life with him, and to those who did not… stay funny, for Steve.
Steve is survived by two daughters, Amanda (Jesse) Berrier, of Camp Hill, Jenna Evelhair, of Montoursville; a sister; four brothers; granddaughter, Olivia Berrier; and grandson, Hudson Berrier.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bullfrog Brewery (Jeremiah's Banquet Room – 2nd floor), 229 West Fourth St, Williamsport. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
