Raymond S. Kepner, 81, of Cogan Station, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023, at his home.
Born May 31, 1942, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Earl and Eleanor (Bower) Kepner.
Raymond had a love for farming and enjoyed helping his friends and neighbor's farm. He was a local cattle hauler for many years and worked construction until retiring in 2007. In his free time Raymond enjoyed attending equipment auctions to buy machinery and other "junk", tending to his garden with his wife, going to tractor pulls, reading the Lancaster Farmer paper and watching RFD T.V.
Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Elaine (Finicle) Kepner; a son, Richard Kepner of Coats, Kan.; and two grandchildren, Kenneth Kepner, and Raymond E. Kepner.
In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by a son, Michael Kepner; and a sister, Ruth Buckles.
A Graveside Service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, 2023, at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Warrensville, with Harry Boyer officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, Montoursville.
The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to a charity of choice in memory of Raymond.
