Kenneth Shane "Chachi" Feaster, 56, of Montgomery, passed away as a result of a motorcycle accident on Friday, Aug. 25, 2023.
He was born Oct. 3, 1966, to Kenneth W. Feaster and Esther E. Feaster who preceded him in death. He attended Montgomery High School and was a graduate of the class of 1984. During high school he attended Williamsport Area Community College, obtaining a certificate in welding. Ken held many positions in his life, but he was most proud of his abilities as a welder/mechanic. He was a lineman and he, along with his father, was certified in SCUBA diving and assisted with underwater search and rescue.
Kenny was a gruff and tough biker that you could hear two blocks before you saw him, whether from the roar of his Harley Davidson Fat Boy or the heavy metal music blasting from his truck windows. He had a go big or go home, all or nothing attitude which, while frustrating at times, you knew you'd have a good time when you were with him. Ken loved riding his motorcycle and traveling wherever the roads would take him. Most times he didn't have a destination in mind, he just rode and let the bike decide. He was a person full of kindness and generosity and was always ready to lend a helping hand, family, friends and even people he didn't know.
When Kenny wasn't riding, he enjoyed puttering around the house, watching ghost shows, Formula One races and NASCAR on television. He enjoyed online racing and gaming. He loved to barbecue and made the best smoked briskets, ribs and pulled pork. He had an intense love for music and quite the collection of guitars, and also taught himself how to play the drums. While he would tell you he couldn't play and that he wasn't any good, he played beautifully. During his younger years he was even in a local band. He was a true metalhead at heart and was drawn to the power of music that resonated with his soul.
Ken had a great sense of humor and loved to antagonize, especially his mother-in-law, Marjorie L. Malloy. Kenneth leaves behind his wife, Lora Jean Malloy-Feaster, with whom he had just married last year, Aug. 7, 2022, though they had been "partners in crime" since 2004. He also leaves behind his children Devon Feaster, Blain Feaster and his partner Stephanie, Seth Feaster, Skylar Feaster and Elizabeth Rovenolt and her fiancÈ Dani Wida; grandchildren, Rowan, Connor, Novaleigh, Artemis, Brooklyn and Logan; a sister-in-law, Melissa Malloy Brown, and her children, his niece and nephews whom he loved like his own children, Kyra Malloy, Xander Brown and Caiden Brown. Ken was also preceded in death by a son Nathan Michael Feaster.
Ken's journey through life was one of adventure, passion and camaraderie. He had a rough exterior that belied his heart of gold.
A celebration of his life will be held with a date to follow. The family asks that you join them at that time to celebrate the memories of friendships, rides, music and acts of kindness that defined his remarkable existence. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of sharing in his life's journey.
