Janice M. (Denesevich) Lose

Janice M. Lose, 82, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, at Covenant Hospice at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.

Born in Williamsport on May 8, 1941, she was the daughter of the late John G. and Jessie M. (Wolf) Denesevich. She was the widow of Jay D. Lose Sr.; they were married 25 years before his death in 2016.

Janice graduated from Williamsport High School in 1959 and received an associate degree in accounting from Bloomsburg University. She was an auditor for the PA Department of Revenue until her retirement in 1992. She and Jay moved to Pensacola shortly after where both resided until their deaths.

Janice is survived by her sister, Karen (Ken) Bloom, of Williamsport; her step-son, Jay D. (Anne) Lose Jr.; and her step-grandson, Charles Lose, of Hopatcong, N.J.; her nephews, Brian Marshall, of Sodus, N.Y.; Kevin (fiance, Kate) Bloom, of Los Angeles, Calif.; Keith (Brandy) Bloom, Williamsport, Pa.; her great-nephews, Benjamin Bloom and Jackson Bloom, Los Angeles, Calif.; her great-nephew, Owen Bloom, and her great-niece, Charlotte "Charlee" Bloom, of Williamsport. She also leaves behind her friend and "adopted" daughter, Shari Glass, of Pensacola, Fla., who was a blessing to her in her final years; and her beloved cat, Mini.

In addition to her husband and parents, Janice was predeceased by her sister, Linda Marshall; and her nephew, Gregory Marshall.

A graveside burial will be held on Friday, Nov. 24, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Jersey Shore cemetery, followed by a luncheon/celebration of Janice's life at the Young Men's Democratic Club in Williamsport.
